Ministry Matters bases our ministry on the scripture reading from Matthew 25: 35-40.
I was hungry and you gave me something to eat … thirsty and you gave me something to drink … a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me … sick and you took care of me … in prison and you came to visit me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me.
Our purpose is bringing awareness of the many needs in our community and the world and joining together as Disciples of Christ to meet those needs. Each month we focus on a specific organization. We promote and briefly educate each cause through video clips and guest speakers during our Sunday Ministry Matters moments, and through articles in our monthly church newsletter and weekly worship bulletin. A few of the varied programs that we are involved with are located under "Missions and Outreach."
