Ministry
Advent/Lent/Worship Planning Team:
A new Advent/Lent/Worship Planning team has been formed. The team will meet two to three times per year to plan out the Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter worship experiences.
Audio/Visual Technology Team:
This team is made up of people who are interested in helping Asbury UMC's staff, leadership and its programming share God's message of love with the people through the use of technology. The goal is to update and modernize our technology and increase communications with its members, friends and guests.
Church Council Team:
Their role is to lead the congregation in long-range planning and in carrying out its program so that people are received into its fellowship, encouraged in strengthening their relatinship with God, and supported as they seek to live as Christian Disciples.
Education Team:
The Education Team will combine the efforts of the Youth Ministries, Children's and Sunday School teams. Look for future new about the possible new ministries including Rotation Sunday School, Vacation Bible School in the yeard, Puppet and Drama Teams, Summer Work Mission Trips...and more.
Leadership Development Team:
The old UMC Nominations Team is hard at work matching your responses from the Cycles of Discipleship Time and Talent Surveys to a potential ministry. Please take the time to pray about how God is calling you to share you time and passions thorugh the ministries of Asbury UMC.
Memorial Team:
The Memorial Team will develop a process for members and friends of Asbury UMC to request and choose a specific item to honor and/or memorialize a loved one. The Memorial Team will also develop reporting and acknowledge procedures for all memorials.
Spiritual Journey: A Plan for Ministry:
The leadership and the members are dedicated to growing in the Spirit of love and sharing God's grace with the community. Therefore, we plan for the future with God's leading and guidance to help facilitate each other's spiritual journey.
Staff Parish Relations Committee:
Their role is to supervise and maintain all property belonging to our congregation so that the ministries of the congregation can be effective.
Trustees Team:

United Methodist Men:
Their motto is "Every man shares in Evangelism, Mission and Spiritual Life". Their purpose is "to be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily his will. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships. They are currently meeting on a monthly basis and help out with the GIFTS (homeless shelter for men) and are working with A-OK (Acts of Kindness).
