A group who make lap quilts for children who have been traumatized as well as families who have lost all their belongings through a natural disaster. Quilters meet the first and third Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.
We help to serve and support financially the Jackson School Breakfast Club.
The youth conduct a monthly Worship service for those living there on the second Sunday of each momth. Meet in the church parking lot at 8:45 a.m. The upcoming 2012 dates are: March 11, April 8, and May 13. In addition, the volunteer opportunities for Cedar Crest are listed on the bulletin board in front of the church office.
Church World Service - Crop Walk of Wisconsin
This walk is a fund-rainsing event to help alleviate hunger and takes place in the spring of each year. CROP hunger walks help fight hunger and poverty locally and globally, with 25 percent of each walk assisting local food banks, pantries, community gardens and other initiatives. The 2012 Crop Walk for Hunger is April 29. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. at Cargill United Methodist Church, 2000 Wesley Ave., Janesvile, WI. The walk begins at 1:30 p.m.

ECHO (Everyone Cooperating to Help Others)
We are one of the sponsoring churches for this community outreach project and support it with financial gifts, donation of items to the food pantry, school supplies, Christmas toys, and other items.
GIFTS - God is Faithful Temporary Shelter
Provide shelter for homeless men for one week, twice a year. The dates are chosen in August each year for the upcoming winter season. We'll sponsor the group April 15-21, 2012. The full schedule can be found on their website: http://gifts-shelter.org
Habitat for Humanity Covenant Church
The church upports them financially and through work projects. They also have a store named, RESTORE at 320 E. Milwaukee St., Janesville WI which is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m - 1 p.m. or call for an appointment, 754-1228. Deliver food to shut–ins for two weeks, twice a year. Once new dates are selected, they will be posted here.
Groups are periodically formed to work in a specific area helping out with projects.
Members hand-knit and crochet prayer shawls for those who need them while others donate the yarn.
Several times a year, various school supplies are collected for the children at Lincoln and Jackson schools.

Asbury United Methodist Church and Lincoln School are working together in partnership. They help as volunteers assisting teachers and the children throughout the school year... In addition, they provide scholarships for milk money, hats and gloves as well as school supplies are collected every Fal for the children. During the summer, the months of June, July and August, the Book Mobile provides books for the children every Tuesday.
